Autumn Leaves Fall Down

A simple interactive song about Autumn (Fall) that encourages fluidity of gross motor movements and observation of natural processes.

To use this resource, click on the link ot the song below and follow along in the book as you listen to the song. For each page encourage children to act out the movements – falling, stomping, throwing, looking. They can use their arms, leaves or scarves to create the falling and throwing actions. To encourage observation, talk about the different autumn colours, the sound leaves make when we jump on them, what trees look like as they lose their leaves and the feel of dry leaves in our hands. For more fun go on a walk outside and choose some leaves to use during this activity. If you want to use the same leaves over again you can laminate some dry leaves and reuse those. We hope this song encourages you to enjoy the beautiful Autumn (Fall) season together with your children.
